Description: As part of the Federation of Academies formed between Haberdashers' Aske Hatcham College and the new Haberdashers’ Aske’s Knights Academy, teaching facilities have been improved at the existing school.
The College has constructed a new teaching building in response to a shortage of areas for general private study and individual work in specialist subjects (art and drama). The site is in a Conservation Area and contains a number of historically significant buildings dating back to the College’s original occupation of the site in 1875. Jestico + Whiles’ sensitive and contemporary design was heralded by the planners as a very sympathetic and appropriate intervention to the campus.
