Polygram Universal is an organisation comprising a wide range of semi-autonomous companies, each with its own specialisation but requiring interaction and cross fertilisation with the others. Jestico + Whiles reviewed over fifty potential buildings to create and deliver a vision for the organisation’s new corporate headquarters.
The key to unlocking this building’s potential was in a neglected light well. The intervention of a new glazed atrium and a bridge of prismatic glass blocks links north and south cores, effectively clarifing the arrival sequence and circulation routes whilst providing joy, wit and surprise. This rationale, and the use of high quality materials, reflects the dynamic image of this global corporation.
