Description: On a sensitive site in the heart of Camden Town, this affordable housing project provides 48 homes in a mix of flats, duplexes and family houses with private gardens.
The design reconciles the differing, complex requirements of two Housing Associations, one specialising in the local community and the second accommodating refugees. It reinforces the grain of the surrounding area by twinning terraced houses to create a more substantial elevation, with the flats grouped to emphasise corners and access points. At the heart of the scheme is a soft landscaped garden and managed play area.
