Description: Set in leafy Barnet this boy’s school is one of the top performing schools of its type in the country, consistently achieving high academic standards. In order to underpin and strengthen this reputation Jestico + Whiles were invited to prepare a masterplan for expansion and refurbishment of many of the buildings on the campus. The first phase of this masterplan included the provision of an extended art studio. Further phases are planned which will target improving the energy efficiency of the existing 70’s building block as well as the replacement of a swimming pool to enhance the provision of water polo facilities.
As well as providing a stunning new top lit art studio space, the extension to the existing Fern Building provides state of the art weights and fitness training facilities in a multi purpose space, which incorporates display space for the highly creative design and technology department.
