Description: Manufaktura Lodz is Jestico + Whiles’ fourth hotel in the central European roll-out of the highly successful Andel’s brand. Located in Lodz, Poland, the hotel will be a regeneration of the textile factory of Izrael Poznanski, one of the biggest red brick and cast iron Victorian factories of 19th century Europe.
The design has been developed in close consultation with the conservation authorities of Lodz and will unlock the true potential of this historic building, of stunning proportions, for the first time in 30 years. The hotel will include 180 bedrooms, 80 long stay apartments, four level atrium, a stylish bar , café, restaurant with a business centre and a 600 capacity grand conference room.
The design will blend a new, young contemporary style and the beautiful existing arched ceilings, brick walls and cast iron frame to create a unique, elegant and inspiring hotel. The colours, textiles, art, sculptural features and furniture are conceived as contemporary interventions within the historic structure, transforming the factory into a beautiful gallery-like hotel providing fun, excitement surprise and wit, yet comfort and luxury.
